In March 2026 I went on an expedition cruise ship that sailed from Ushuaia at the tip of Tierra del Fuego and visited the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia and the Falklands. The ship was the Douglas Mawson, launched in October 2025 and the cruise was run by an Australian company called Aurora Expeditions. My place on the trip was arranged for me by Wildlife Worldwide, a British based wildlife travel company.

We went to Ethiopia with friends Mike and Colleen on a tailor-made trip arranged by Wildlife Worldwide in February 2026. Starting and ending in Addis Ababa we visited Chebera-Chuchura National Park, Aregash eco-lodge near the town of Yirga Alem, Lake Awassa, Senkelle Hartebeest Sanctuary and the Bale Mountains National Park.
