Ethiopia 2026

This trip to Ethiopia was arranged by the travel company Wildlife Worldwide for ourselves and friends Mike and Colleen. It was too dangerous to travel in the north of the country so we concentrated on sites in the south, started and ending the trip in Addis Ababa where we visited the Gullele Botanical Garden. We then spent a few days in Chebera-Churchura National Park. Travelling east, we visited Lake Awassa and the Senkelle Hartebeest Sanctuary and spent a couple of days at Aregash Lodge, a peaceful, family owned lodge near Yirga Alem before moving on to the Bale Mountains National Park. Here we visited the high altitude Sanetti Plateau, Harenna Forest and the Gaysay Valley.
