South Africa 2018

This was a “Naturetrek” trip organised by the South African tour company “Lawson’s Safaris”, who provided two excellent guides, Leon Marais and Jason Stewart, for the 9 participants. The focus was on rare mammals, which were sought mainly with spotlights on night drives, and was based in the Northern Cape and Kalahari Desert. We were met by our guides in Kimberley, where we stayed at the Langberg Guest Farm from where we visited Mokala National Park and enjoyed night drives at Marrick private reserve. We moved on to Augrabies Falls National Park for a couple of days before heading to the wonderful !Xaus Lodge situated in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Kalahari Desert.
