This Naturetrek trip was focused on mammals and based at Canopy Tower and then Canopy Lodge, both part of ‘The Canopy Family’. Locations visited included the famous Pipeline Road and Ammo Dump Ponds at Gamboa, the Metropolitan Natural Park in Panama City, Summit Botanical Gardens & Summit Ponds, Lake Gatun & the Panama Canal, the Rainforest Discovery Centre situated along the Pipeline Road with its canopy level viewing tower, the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute at Punta Culebra and El Valle de Anton where Canopy Lodge is situated.
